Mid-morning, transfer to the village harbor and board a speedboat heading toward the iconic Krakatoa volcano. You’ll circle the island at a safe distance, depending on current volcanic activity. Since the major eruption of December 2018, Anak Krakatau remains highly active and unpredictable. The day ends with a bivouac at the foot of the volcano or on a nearby island, an unforgettable experience
The morning is dedicated to exploring the Krakatoa volcano and its surroundings. Depending on volcanic activity, you may hike along the slopes of the old cone to observe the new one, formed in 2021 and still frequently erupting. A swim in the sea may also be possible.
