The Togian archipelago consists of 56 islands and islets, located just 30 km south of the Equator in the heart of Tomini Bay. Born from volcanic activity and surrounded by coral reefs, the islands are covered in lush tropical rainforest.
With water temperatures averaging 31°C and underwater visibility reaching up to 40–50 meters, the region offers some of the most spectacular marine conditions in Southeast Asia. Both marine and terrestrial ecosystems remain remarkably untouched, a rare natural sanctuary.
The islands are home to a rich variety of endemic wildlife, including sea turtles, dugongs, macaques, parrots, and the unique babirusa wild pig. Several ethnic communities, Bobogko, Togian, Saluan, and the seafaring Bajau people, inhabit around 37 traditional villages.
Enjoy two full days at leisure to explore this hidden paradise at your own pace: discover Unauna Island and its active Colo volcano, encounter wildlife on Malenge, visit Bajau sea nomad villages, or dive into the vibrant underwater world.
