Temple visits, walks through incredible landscapes, snorkeling sessions, rafting in the morning etc., so many activities to enjoy yourself and discover all the subtleties of this island. Welcome to Bali
Aéroport → Ubud
Arrival at Denpasar airport and transfer to Ubud, a town located on the hills north of Denpasar, in a rolling landscape of lush rice fields and ravines.
Ubud is renowned for its painting school. Despite the exponential tourism development it has experienced in recent years, the town has managed to preserve its tranquility and beauty.
The rest of the day is free.
Ubud, Cultural Capital
This morning you visit the Ubud Palace - an emblematic historical complex of Balinese history where the royal family once resided. Just across from it is the craft market, where you can find all kinds of souvenirs.
Stop at the village of Tampaksiring to visit the Gunung Kawi temples. This site is surely the most impressive in Bali with the 9 tombs of King Wungsu's family, carved into the cliff.
Visit of Tirta Empul and its sacred pools where hundreds of Balinese come each day to purify themselves.
Then, departure for Goa Gadjah better known as the Elephant Cave. Dated to the 11th century and built at the intersection of two rivers, this temple is one of the oldest Balinese archaeological sites.
Finally, you visit Yeh Pulu, a historical relief telling the ancient life of the Balinese.
Return to Ubud in early evening where you can stroll freely through the village.
Temples & Rice Fields
This morning, you will set out to discover the terraced rice fields of Tegallalang. Located north of Ubud, they offer sumptuous panoramas. You discover this lush environment during a small walk. An opportunity to become aware of the beauty of nature.
Continuing towards Kintamani, a high-altitude village that offers a breathtaking view of the lake and Mount Batur. You have lunch on the edge of the Batur caldera.
Then you head towards Trunyan, along Lake Batur. Boat visit of the cemetery where the bodies of the deceased decompose in the open air.
You then head towards Kehen Temple. Then, you visit the temple of Kehen in Bangli. This temple is one of the most venerated in Bali. Its vegetable garden and its temple with eleven "meru" make it a place filled with spirituality and traditions.
Tanah Lot
Free morning to discover Ubud and its surroundings. In Ubud, elegant temples and palaces with sculpted facades line the streets. Another tourist attraction of Ubud, slightly set back from the city center, is the "monkey forest" temple. Hikes and walks outside of Ubud, meanwhile, offer places where the view of the surroundings is breathtaking, as the rural landscapes are well preserved.
In late afternoon, you discover the temple of Tanah Lot, which means "Land of the Sea" in Balinese. It stands on an islet battered by ocean waves, it is a place of pilgrimage highly prized by tourists and photographers. The Tanah Lot temple was built in the 16th century on the advice of the famous Javanese priest Danghyang Nirartha to pay homage to the guardian spirits of the sea.
This remarkable site benefits, moreover, from one of the most splendid sunsets on the island.
Immersion
Today, traditions and sharing will be at the forefront. Complete immersion in daily Balinese life: cooking, making offerings, dance, music… At the heart of a Balinese family, head to the market to buy the ingredients needed to prepare the meal.
Then it's off to the house, where you spend most of the day exchanging ideas and participating in various activities of daily Balinese life: coffee making, preparation of offerings. You then participate in a cooking class that you enjoy afterwards.
Early afternoon, a walk through the village and the surrounding nature.
Return to the house for a farewell tea with your hosts… A day rich in sharing!
Guesthouse
Rafting
After breakfast, departure towards the upper Ayung River. After receiving basic recommendations and being equipped, you board the raft (maximum five people). River descent. Shower and lunch on site. Rafting: 2 hours.
Then, you visit the Sangeh monkey forest. This forest, far less touristy than its big sister in Ubud, is composed of 3 temples and more than 500 monkeys roaming free.
Finally, you visit Pura Taman Ayun, a state temple located in Mengwi. It is one of the only temples where royal ancestral divinities are celebrated. Its peaceful gardens, its architecture with its alignment of stone gates make it a place where calm and serenity reign.
Towards Paradise
Turquoise waters
Today you will discover the underwater depths of Menjangan Island, a true snorkeling paradise… Equipped with your mask, snorkel and our fins, you swim for nearly 4 hours above the corals and among the many colorful fish. This site is a real natural aquarium, with boxfish, clownfish, starfish, groupers… and corals: the underwater biodiversity is one of the richest in Bali.
Lunch on the boat.
Return to the hotel in early afternoon. The rest of the day is free.
On the heights
After breakfast, departure for Banjar, the most famous hot springs on the island where you will have the opportunity to swim.
Then Brahma Vihara Arama, the only Buddhist temple on all of Bali. It is located in the middle of nature at the top of a hill overlooking the valley and the sea behind the rice fields.
For lunch you will stop at Lovina, a small seaside resort in the north of the island.
Early in the afternoon, you take a stroll around the village to discover the beauty of the surrounding nature. The areas around Munduk indeed form a picturesque scene with its coffee and clove plantations near forests and waterfalls.
Ocean of rice fields
Early in the morning, transfer to Jatiluwih, a small village located in the heart of Bali's most beautiful rice fields, in the central-western part of the island. You then embark on a superb hike through this vast ocean of terraced rice paddies that surround you.
Visit the Luhur Batukaru Temple, which emerges in a setting of lush greenery and where several "meru" with multiple roofs stand, some dating back to the 17th century, dedicated to the ancestors of the Tabanan dynasty and to local protective deities.
You visit the superb Pura Ulun Danu Bratan, one of Bali's wonders. This place is enchanting, with its immense banyan tree at the entrance and its superb gardens. One of the temples is set back on a small island, and its 11-level roof is elegantly reflected in the waters of the lake.
In the afternoon, you explore the pulse of the charming Bedugul market, before returning to our nearby hotel.
Sekumpul Waterfalls
This morning you head to the Sekumpul waterfalls, considered the most beautiful in Bali.
Accompanied by a local guide, you trek through the forest before discovering these impressive waterfalls (approximately 3 hours of hiking).
Continue your day in Sangsit to visit the Beiji Temple, dating from the 16th century. This temple in the north of the island presents a real difference from the Temples of the South, with more symmetry, ornamentations and Chinese influences.
Continuing towards Amed, you stop at Tianyar. This small village, with its salt marshes, its port, its market and its small houses, is a wonder: a still-preserved Bali.
You arrive at your seafront hotel in the afternoon.
East of Bali
Free day in Amed. Originally a small fishing village, Amed has managed to keep its charm and simplicity despite the growth of tourism. This day can be an opportunity to go snorkeling from the beach. Here the seabed is rich and easily accessible.
At the end of the day, with some elevation, it is possible to go admire the sunset behind Mount Agung volcano.
Peak of the Gods
The sunrise at Amed is a spectacle you simply must not miss! At first light, fishing boats return with the rising sun behind them and ahead, the imposing Agung volcano.
After breakfast, departure for Pura Lempuyang Luhur Temple located just above Tirtagangga, in the far East of Bali. An incredibly steep road leads to the start of what can be considered a pilgrimage. 7 temples, 1500 steps connecting them and a sweeping view over the sea.
Then visit the royal baths of Tirtagangga (whose exact translation is "The waters of the Ganges"), on the south-eastern slopes of Agung. Officially known as Tirta Ayu, this complex of fresh water pools was one of the many aquatic palaces built by a king of Karangasem.
Continue towards Tenganan, the Bali Aga village where the descendants of the first inhabitants of the island of Bali live: a true living museum. You will discover there notably the traditional weaving methods.
At the end of the day, you reach the idyllic valley of Sidemen.
Valley of the Gods
The morning is dedicated to a lovely hike of approximately 3 hours around Sidemen, through highland plantations and rice paddies. During this walk, you pass by numerous hamlets, conducive to meeting the local population, and also cross an old suspension bridge. The vegetation is lush and the landscape very exotic.
Free afternoon to enjoy your hotel and its swimming pool surrounded by rice paddies.
Towards Sanur
This morning, you will visit the Goa Lawah Temple. Founded in 1007 by Empu Kuteran, it has the reputation of bringing good luck. It is one of the nine directional temples of Bali (called "kayangan jagat") protecting the island against evil spirits. The main attraction is the bat colony and the legends associated with it.
Then, a brief stop in Kusamba, a small fishing village and its black sand beach to discover the traditional methods of salt harvesting.
Next, it is in the town of Klungkung that you discover the court of justice where the punishments once inflicted on outlaws are depicted, such as threats hanging over the heads of the accused.
You finally continue your journey to Sanur where you arrive in the afternoon. Check-in at the hotel and free evening.
Rest
Free day in Sanur which is one of Bali's oldest beach resorts, but which has managed to retain its charm and refinement. The beaches of Sanur stretch for several kilometers: ideal for a stroll by the water. Sanur's main street is, for its part, a goldmine of small shops and good restaurants.
Take advantage of your free time as a couple or family to swim in the pool or in the sea, discover Balinese massages, stroll along the beach or in the town center… Dinner and evening are free. (car and driver available at additional cost)

The balance must be paid no later than 45 days before the departure date.

Passport
To enter Indonesia, your passport must be valid for a minimum of six months after your entry date and must contain at least two blank pages for immigration stamps.

Tourist stay without visa
Depending on your nationality, you may be eligible for a visa exemption for tourist stays in Indonesia. Entry requirements vary by nationality and should be verified with the Indonesian embassy or consulate of your country of residence.
The authorities may also request:
an exit ticket from the territory (return or onward flight),
proof of sufficient financial resources for the duration of your stay.
Formalities on arrival
Before your arrival, it is recommended to complete the online arrival declaration via the official Indonesian customs and immigration portal (e-CD, Electronic Customs Declaration).
This form allows you to transmit to the authorities certain information necessary for entry into the territory:

A confirmation QR code may be requested when passing through customs and immigration controls.
Health and vaccinations
No vaccine is mandatory to enter Indonesia, except in case of transit through a country at risk of yellow fever, in which case an international vaccination certificate may be required.
As a precaution, it is advisable to consult a doctor or vaccination center before departure. Vaccinations against hepatitis A, hepatitis B, typhoid and rabies are commonly recommended for stays in Indonesia. Antimalarial treatment may also be recommended depending on the regions visited (particularly outside Bali and major cities).
Travel with children
Minors must hold their own valid passport covering the duration of the stay.
In some countries, when a minor travels without one of their parents, an authorization to exit the territory may be required according to the regulations of the country of residence.
