Welcome to Bali!
Aéroport → Ubud
Airport welcome at Denpasar and transfer to Ubud, a city located on the hills north of Denpasar, in a rolling landscape of lush rice fields and ravines. Ubud is renowned for its painting school.
Despite the exponential tourism development it has experienced in recent years, the city has managed to preserve its tranquility and beauty.
Cultural Capital of Bali
A day discovering Ubud and its surroundings. In Ubud, elegant temples and palaces with sculpted facades line the streets.
During our city tour, we discover Puri Saren and the details of its wooden doors, Pura Saraswati and the refinement of its ornamentations, Pura Puseh and its splendid sculptures as well as many other museums and galleries. Another tourist curiosity of Ubud, slightly set back from the city center, is the temple "of the monkey forest". The hikes and walks outside Ubud, for their part, take you to places where the view of the surroundings is breathtaking, so well preserved are the rural landscapes.

Meeting with an artist family
This morning, you begin a walk through magnificent rice fields heading towards Tampaksiring.
A family of Balinese artists welcomes you into their traditional home and offers you a typical meal, accompanied by Balinese dances.

Balinese Day
Today, traditions and sharing will be the highlight. Complete immersion in daily Balinese life: cooking, making offerings, dance, music… In the heart of your host family, you set off to the market to buy the ingredients needed to prepare the meal.
Then back to the house, where you will spend most of the day exchanging and participating in various activities of daily Balinese life: coffee making, preparation of offerings.
You then participate in a cooking class that you will taste. Early afternoon, a walk through the village and the surrounding nature. A day full of sharing!
Ocean of Rice Fields
Tampaksiring → Belimbing
In the morning, transfer to Belimbing, a small village nestled in the heart of stunning rice fields.
During the journey, you cross some of Bali's most extraordinary terraced rice fields.
In the afternoon, you begin a wonderful nature discovery walk through the surrounding area.
From Green to Blue
Belimbing → Pemuteran
Morning transfer to Pemuteran, a small seaside resort located on the northwest coast of Bali, far from tourist crowds.
The rest of the day is free so you can enjoy the fine sand beach at your leisure. A true colorful aquarium awaits you in these coral reefs!
Snorkeling at Menjangan
Today we set off to discover the underwater world of Menjangan Island, a true snorkeling paradise… Equipped with our mask, snorkel and fins, we swim for nearly 4 hours above the corals and among numerous colorful fish.
This site is a true natural aquarium, with boxfish, clownfish, starfish, groupers… and corals: the underwater biodiversity is among the richest in Bali.
Lunch on the boat.
Return to the hotel in early afternoon. The rest of the day is free.
On the heights
Short transfer to Munduk, located in a historic region of Bali, considered the cradle of Balinese culture. Ancient Dutch colonists loved to stay there for holidays, from the former colonial capital of Singaraja (on the north coast). Early in the afternoon, you stroll around the village to discover the beauty of the surrounding nature.
The surroundings of Munduk indeed form a picturesque scene with its coffee and clove plantations near forests and waterfalls.
The 3 lakes
Your trek for the day takes you to Candi Kuning, along the volcanic lakes Tamblingan and Buyan. These two lakes were in the past a single body of water until the enormous landslide of 1818, permanently separating them. This magnificent hike is an opportunity to discover local agricultural and cultural life, while skirting and crossing the beautiful tropical forests of the island.
You visit the superb Hindu-Buddhist temple Pura Ulun Danu Bratan, one of Bali's wonders. This place is enchanting, with its immense banyan tree at the entrance and its superb gardens. One of the temples is set back on a small island, and its 11-level roof is elegantly reflected in the waters of the lake.
You then take the pulse of the picturesque market in Bedugul, before heading to your hotel nearby.
Towards Amed
This morning we head to Sekumpul waterfalls, considered the most beautiful in Bali.
Accompanied by a local guide, we take a walk through the forest before discovering these impressive waterfalls (approximately 3 hours of hiking).
We continue our day in Sangsit to visit Beiji Temple dating from the 16th century. This temple in the north of the island presents a real difference from the temples of the south, with more symmetry, ornamentations and Chinese influences.
Continuing towards Amed, we stop in Tianyar. This small village, with its salt marshes, its port, its market and its small houses is a marvel: a still preserved Bali.
We arrive at our beachfront hotel in the afternoon.
Snorkeling in Amed
After breakfast, departure for a day of snorkeling in Amed. The seabeds of Amed are surprising! Just a few meters from the beach we can see different corals appear in clear water as well as numerous parrotfish, moray eels, boxfish and many other residents of this enchanting place.
Lunch on the boat. Our second snorkeling session of the day is located a few minutes away: it is the wreck of an old Japanese boat.
The rest of the day is free.
The Original Bali
Short morning transfer to Tirtagangga. Visit to the royal baths of Tirtagangga (whose exact translation is "The waters of the Ganges"), on the south-eastern slopes of Mount Agung. Officially known as Tirta Ayu, this complex of fresh water pools was one of many aquatic palaces built by a king of Karangasem.
You then continue with a Balinese walk, through fields and rice paddies, towards the Bali Aga village of Tenganan which has preserved Balinese culture prior to the Javanese influence of the Hindu Majapahit dynasty. To protect their village from the harmful effects of intrusion by those not initiated into the worship of Batara Indra, all visitors are welcomed from noon until nightfall, after which everyone is asked to move on. There was a time when the villagers of Tenganan would even sweep away the footprints of their visitors to completely erase the evidence of their visit.
Transfer then to Sidemen, one of the most beautiful valleys in Bali (many rice paddies, salak plantations and weaving workshop-houses of the famous ikats...)
Authentic Bali
Your morning walk takes you to the slopes of the hills in the southeast of the island, offering you a superb viewpoint over both Mount Agung volcano and the Indian Ocean.
You then take the road to Mount Batur (1,725m), via the mother temple of Besakih. Located on the misty slopes of Mount Agung at 1,000 meters altitude, it is the most important temple on the island comprising a religious complex of 22 separate temples, spread over seven terraces. With its 11-story "meru" roofs, near-constant religious ceremonies and its viewpoint "between sea and mountains": this temple is surely one of the most spiritual. It is also the oldest and most venerated temple in Bali.
Then, from Penelokan, you enjoy an exceptional view over the caldera, measuring 14 km long. This impressive size is a testament to the volcano's tumultuous past and a size that once must have exceeded that of the current Agung.
At your feet, you discover the cone of Mount Batur in the middle of a vast caldera occupied halfway by Bali's largest lake and covered on its other half by plantations and lava fields, residues of the 1917 and 1926 eruptions. You then descend into the caldera to get a closer look at the lava flows. Near the lake where you can rest in preparation for tomorrow's early morning wake-up, you enjoy pleasant hot spring waters.
Volcano Batur
Late at night, you begin climbing Mount Batur. Just before sunrise, you first reach the summit of the oldest crater, then begin your descent by going around the adjacent craters and stopping nearby (but at a safe distance) from the most recent and active crater. Continue the day with a visit to the Pura Kehen temple in Bangli. This temple is one of the most revered in Bali. Its vegetable garden and its temple with eleven "meru" make it a place filled with spirituality and traditions.

Transfer to Sanur in the late afternoon. Sanur is one of Bali's oldest beach resorts, but has managed to keep its charm and sophistication. Its beaches stretch for several kilometers, which is ideal for a stroll by the water. The main street is a treasure trove of small shops and good restaurants.
Take advantage of your free time to swim in the hotel pool, discover Balinese massages, stroll along the beach, etc.

This morning, a speedboat company car picks us up from our hotel and we head to Sanur port.
We then board the boat heading to Nusa Lembongan.

Before your arrival, it is recommended to complete the online arrival declaration via the official Indonesian customs and immigration portal (e-CD, Electronic Customs Declaration).

Health and vaccinations
No vaccine is mandatory to enter Indonesia, except in case of transit through a country at risk of yellow fever, in which case an international vaccination certificate may be required.
As a precaution, it is advisable to consult a doctor or vaccination center before departure. Vaccinations against hepatitis A, hepatitis B, typhoid and rabies are commonly recommended for stays in Indonesia. Antimalarial treatment may also be recommended depending on the regions visited (particularly outside Bali and major cities).
Travel with children
Minors must hold their own valid passport covering the duration of the stay.
In some countries, when a minor travels without one of their parents, an authorization to exit the territory may be required according to the regulations of the country of residence.
