Choisir de construire un itinéraire en Indonésie, c'est arbitrer entre 17 000 îles, six fuseaux culturels et des saisons qui ne tombent pas en même temps d'ouest en est. Java commence souvent par Yogyakarta, la lumière de l'aube sur Borobudur et les volcans Bromo et Ijen avant de basculer vers Bali.

Sur place, nos équipes construisent les circuits selon trois logiques simples, en fonction du temps disponible et de la saison sèche (mai à septembre sur la majeure partie de l'archipel) :

  • Deux semaines : Java et Bali, l'axe classique, temples, volcans, rizières d'Ubud et fin de séjour côté Sidemen ou Amed.
  • Trois semaines : on prolonge vers les îles de la Sonde, Flores en 4x4, dragons de Komodo, plongée à Labuan Bajo.
  • Plus de trois semaines, ou deuxième voyage : Sumatra et les orangs-outans de Bukit Lawang, le lac Toba, ou les Moluques pour les voyageurs aguerris.

Choisir, c'est aussi accepter de renoncer. Tout voir en un seul voyage produit un enchaînement d'aéroports et peu de souvenirs. Nos guides francophones plaident pour deux îles maximum sur quinze jours, trois sur trois semaines, avec de vraies pauses dans des villages comme Munduk, Tetebatu ou Waerebo.
