Early morning arrival in Nabire. Visit the local market to purchase supplies and finalize logistics for your upcoming expedition.

In the afternoon, transfer by road followed by a coastal boat journey to Napan Bay, your first immersion into mangrove landscapes. Briefing upon arrival.

After completing administrative formalities, visit the village school before sharing daily life with the Wenami community.

Activities include traditional Papuan cooking (notably yellow fish soup prepared over a papeda hearth), visiting a community fish farm, and participating in mangrove replanting, a key conservation effort.

In the evening, join locals for shellfish gathering on the tidal flats, followed by a night fishing experience by torchlight.

Travel upstream along the Poronai River by motorized canoe toward the village of Toberi, gateway to Keuw territory.

Navigate through flooded forest landscapes before receiving a ceremonial welcome and settling into the village.

Transfers: 6–10 hours

A full day dedicated to Keuw culture: harvesting and processing sago (a staple food), learning about local history, myths, and legends, and exchanging insights into social and spiritual organization.

A powerful moment of cultural transmission across generations.

Trek through the surrounding jungle to discover endemic birdlife, medicinal plants, and rich biodiversity.

Participate in daily village activities before attending the Parapen ceremony in the evening, a vibrant celebration of songs, dances, and community spirit.

Navigate back through rivers and estuaries to Napan Bay. Time for rest and informal exchanges with coastal communities.

Transfers: approx. 5 hours

Excursion to the lush Moor Islands. Enjoy a gentle trek through tropical forest, discover hidden waterfalls, and swim in natural pools.

Transfers: approx. 2 hours

Depart by motorized canoe along the Siliwo River to the remote site of Aguile. Set up camp and explore the surrounding lake and swamp ecosystems.

In the evening, head out for a guided night excursion to observe crocodiles in their natural habitat.

Today, explore the Burate territory in depth: traditional hunting and fishing techniques, survival skills in the rainforest, and full immersion into primary jungle life.

Return to Napan Bay at the end of the day.
