Discovering Yogyakarta

Java, the gentle island considered to be the cradle of Indonesian culture, is full of surprises !

Between the Merapi and the shores of the Indian ocean, Yogyakarta is surely the heart of the island.

You’ll discover the historical and cultural center as you stroll through the “Kraton” area. Yogyakarta is surrounded by hills which offer stunning hikes towards the Merapi and the famous temples of Prambanan and Borobudur, both listed as UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
