The most common way to visit is to join a cruise or rent a private yacht. Cruises are often organized from Sorong port in West Papua, and typically last 10 days, allowing you to explore the Raja Ampat archipelago thoroughly. These cruises offer different levels of comfort and price points.

It is also possible to reach Wayag from other islands in the archipelago, but Sorong remains the most popular and convenient entry point. This city is the main hub for travellers heading to Raja Ampat. It has numerous transport options and services to help you organize your trip to this paradise at the end of the world.

When to Visit?

It is recommended to visit Wayag during the dry season, from November to April. During this period, weather conditions are more stable and waters are calm, which facilitates boat travel. Water visibility is also optimal.
