For French nationals, entering Indonésie is relatively straightforward.

For stays of 30 days or less in Indonésie, travelers must possess a passport valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry into the country. It is also important to have a return ticket as proof of exit from the territory.

Visa-Free Entry to Indonésie

Since March 2016, Indonésie has granted visa-free entry to nationals of 169 countries, including France, Switzerland, Belgium, and Canada, for short stays of fewer than 30 days.

Tourist Visa for Indonésie

For travelers wishing to stay in Indonésie for more than 30 days, two options are available:

• You may opt for a Visa on Arrival or V.O.A. Valid for 30 days and renewable once for an additional 30 days through immigration services. To pay for the visa, it is advisable to have $35 in hand, as the exchange rate is not particularly favorable locally.
• You can also contact the Indonesian Embassy in France to apply, though the visa fee will be higher. Expect €50 for a visa valid for 60 days. Required documents include: a passport valid for at least 9 months from the application date; a round-trip ticket to Indonésie or a booking confirmation/flight details; a photocopy of residence permit for foreign nationals (outside EU countries); proof of residence less than 3 months old for EU passport holders; a completed online form printed out; and a color passport photo (two for Swiss nationals).
