Among traditional Indonesian dishes, you'll find:
Nasi goreng
Considered the national dish of Indonésie, nasi goreng is fried rice, spiced, with vegetables, chicken or shrimp and accompanied by a fried egg and shrimp chips.
Nasi campur
Nasi campur is another rice-based dish served with several accompaniments such as: fish, fresh sautéed vegetables, pan-fried eggs, roasted peanuts, grated coconut, chili paste, and shrimp chips (krupuk).
Sate
This is a dish of marinated meat on skewers or grilled. Sate is the name of the sauce served with the skewers. It is prepared with peanut or sesame oil, coconut milk, turmeric, ginger, roasted peanuts, cilantro, soy sauce, and more. To be enjoyed without restraint!
Perkedel
These are fried potato balls with ground meat that are rolled in egg white so that the outside is crispy and the inside is tender. To enjoy when you have a small appetite.
Bakmi goreng or mie goreng
Another typically Indonesian dish, mie goreng is a dish based on sautéed wheat noodles. It comes with chicken or shrimp, depending on your preference.

Cendol

Bandrek
Bandrek is a beverage made from ginger and brown sugar. Some recipes add additional spices such as cloves, cinnamon, or pandan leaves. This drink is perfect when the weather is cool.
Bajigur
A typically Indonesian beverage, bajigur is a drink made from coconut milk and brown sugar. It is usually served during moments of relaxation or before meals. Indeed, its sweet-salty taste increases appetite.

Beer
The most well-known and popular beer brands are Bintang, Bali Hai, and Anker. However, you can also easily find brands like Heineken, Guinness, or San Miguel.
Rice wine (brem)
Fairly sweet and slightly acidic, brem is a locally produced wine that can be found in supermarkets.
Arak
This is a local alcohol made from palm sap, coconut, or rice, mixed with honey, lemon, or orange juice.
