Welcome to Balikpapan or Samarinda by your English-speaking tour-guide and transfer to the small mining town of Sangatta, further north.

After a quick settling in at a brand new lodge, you set off to explore the surrounding jungle, to get up close to the wildlife and in particular the orangutans in total freedom.
Return to the lodge in the late morning, then in the late afternoon, the call of the forest offers you an exceptional nocturnal experience (the animals move around more at night).
